The official schedule for L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival kicks off tomorrow but Alpha60 got the party started early.
The Melbourne-based label launched their winter 2012 collection in the dark laneway of St Paul’s Cathedral in the heart of the city. It was Alpha60’s first stand alone show as part of the festival. The venue added to the winter feel of the clothing that gave way for a strong theme of dark tones.
The feature colours of the collection were black, white and grey. It was all about the layered look with a relaxed feel of freedom and comfort with a modern street edge. It was the loose silhouette with strong defined panels of the women’s clothing that added the punch to the collection. The stand out piece for the men was the blazer with a black and grey mix.
Happy L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival – see you on the runway.
And yep, that’s me showing them how it’s done. Someone has to warm up the runway.
