Why save the best for last! I had to show the desert first, as the Brown Ale Pudding was super-delicious.
I jumped at the chance to be part of a cooking class in Modern British at South Melbourne Market last Wednesday night. The Commoner Restaurant head chef Brook Petrie took us on a journey of taste that was the perfect appetite pleasing food for these cold winter nights. As a guest of The Commoner Restaurant I was there to take photos and enjoy the food – I know what a tough life. It was a small class that was made interactive so we could pick up new skills and get our hands dirty at the same time. The wine was free-flowing and made for a fun learning experience. The menu consisted of; Pork and Pistachio Terrine with Peach Chutney, Rabbit Prune & Pinot Pie and Brown Ale Pudding. Let me take you through the evening with pictures.
